At the initiative of Prof Satya Deo Singh, Central Public School (CPS) was set up in july 1976 with an objective of producing children who would be good citizens creative social workers of a secular democratic state, by imparting education for all round development of the children .

The school has not only met with these objectives but has surpassed the mandate in many ways .

Since inception ,the institute has evolved and underdone major transformation from mere an education place to a knowledge hub with the help of highly qualified teacher who have createda productive environment for overall develoment of a child

Prof Satya Deo Singh was also the founder of many more reputed school of the city like RAFI AHEMED KEDWALI INTER COLLEGE Gorakhpur ,BAL VIKAS NIKETEN Gorakhpur and GIRLS JR.HIGH SCHOOL Gorakhpur .

During the last 38th years , CPS also expanded spatially .It has established another campus in 2013 and is in planning of expansion in other party of Gorakhpur
