School expected to conduct themselves as gentlemen/ladies at all times. The whole-hearted co-operation of the guardians is expected at all times in formation of the character of their children. As the child progresses from the junior to the senior classes, increasing opportunities will be given to shift from conforming to externally imposed order to self-imposed discipline. The school will insist on strict punctuality, regular school attendance, cleanliness in dress, general grooming and fidelity to study and work assignments. Absenting oneself from school for merely social functions is strongly discouraged.
Students should behave in a courteous manner wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet teachers wherever they meet them.
General Rules
- All students must be clean and neatly dressed in school uniform according to season. Trousers and blazers must be of the regulation pattern and colour. Leggy trousers are strictly prohibited. Uniforms of other shades are not allowed in school.
- Black shoes with laces by boys, black shoes with buckles or laces by girls, are to be worn at all times.
- Indisciplined behaviour in the school bus will make the pupil ineligible to use school transportation. Bus monitors are assigned to help maintain discipline. Most buses also have teachers or the other staff members. Obeying the instructions given by them (whether they are your teachers teaching the student concerned or not) is a precondition to avail oneself of the school transport. If a student is repeatedly caught for bulling, fighting or using abusive language in the school bus he/she shall summarily taken out from the school bus.
- All school property must be taken care of and no student should scratch or spoil the desks or chairs or damage any other school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. Damage done, even by accident, should be reported at once to the vice Principal’s/Headmaster’s office. Any damage done will be made good by the one who does it. If the culprit cannot be indentified/refuses to confess, the whole class will be liable to pay the penalty fixed by the Principal. Anyone who sees something damaged should report the matter even if he/she does not know who has done it. Each class will be responsible for looking after the class property.
- No books other than textbooks or library books may be brought to the school.
- Pupils are forbidden to bring crackers, explosives and other dangerous material to school. Disciplinary action will be taken against such offenders. N.B.: Attention is called to the Delhi School Education Rule, No. 36, It is forbidden to practice smoking, use drugs or intoxicants, rowdyism, rude behaviour, casteism and communalism in school. Immorality, grave insubordination, contempt of authority or willful damage to property is always a sufficient reason for immediate dismissal. Bullying on school campus or in the school bus is a serious offence and strict disciplinary action will be taken against those who indulge in it.
- Students are discouraged to bring money beyond their daily requirements to school. School is not responsible for the money lost/stolen.
- Driving of vehicles to school by students below the age of 18 and without a valid driving license is not permitted. In the event of them being caught doing so, the parent will be held responsible.
- Students are forbidden to bring mobiles phones or any other electronic gadgets to school. If caught, the confiscated items will be returned to the parent only at the end of academic year.
The school is not responsible for any goods/valuables lost. Therefore it is advisable not to bring any valuables (like expensive watches or ornaments) to school.
- The school reserves to itself the right to dismiss students whose diligence or process in studies is steadily unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to the other students or whose guardians show little interest in the progress of their wards.
- A student who uses unfair means and/or receives or gives assistance to other in any form during tests/exams will be given zero in that subject, and a warning letter. Repetition of the same will result in dismissal.
- A minimum of 50% in all subjects in the year’s average is mandatory for those students receiving scholarship from school, for the renewal of the scholarship during the next academic year.
- Bunking school/class will invite serious disciplinary action.
Use of abusive language is strictly forbidden in school.
